a skytrex!

hilo. this is a post that should have been made ummmmmmmmmmm one month ago, but let's ignore that! last month i (and people) went to skytrex adventure, which is a park off of another park just outside of KL. it features ziplining and obstacles and crazy fun challenging things. i would be lying if i did not say i was a teensy little bit sore after it. i did the more challenging "extreme challenge," and it really was not so bad once you found your balance on the obstacles. but anyways, enough chit chat. here's a snapshot of what it was like:


these were my least favorite obstacles: the first, just climbing up the ladder to begin! and the second, the pipes. after those, everything was fine. maybe.


the challenge on the right actually was my favorite, right at the end. i felt like jane.


generally when you're at such a high height the advice is to not look down. unfortunately, looking down is unavoidable when you have to look for foot placement! the gloves were 3 ringgit, and mostly torn apart by the end. oh well. they made me feel like i could beat someone up. don't mess, son.

so that was that. it was so fun, we did it twice. it's close enough to be a quick drive from KL, but far enough that you feel out of the city, so it's a nice fun escape from KL for a day. i only recommend plenty of bug spray!
